This was made as part of a team with another dev and a sound designer on the 2019 Locomojam. The game was made entirely en route to Melbourne, from Brisbane, via train. We showed it at PAX as well which was a wonderful experience. Got to meet lots of interesting and interested people.

Crab was my first game made using Pico 8. I was sort of learning on the job with this jam, and that made for a really unique experience. I can absolutely recommend it if it’s a low stakes jam and you really want to knuckle down and drill a new system into you.

What I took away from this jam was that creating content in a relatively simple system for a jam is really great fun. I made this one with my dad as well, which was lovely.

The thing I’m happiest about with this jam is the drawing system. Perhaps I spent a little bit too long on it, but I’m really happy with how it turned out. Have to say, I’m tempted to do an entire game based around it.

Cloud Sculpt was great to work on. It turned out pretty much exactly how I had envisioned it, and I don’t think I could have been happier with it. It’s dorky and fun, and I’m very pleased with the undulating of the cloud.

My first big game jam! This was so much fun to work on, the atmosphere was fantastic. I did the navigation programming for this if I remember correctly, along with some odds and ends. Really fantastic people to work with, a very fond memory.
